Mac Offshore oil and gas firm need the services of experienced and qualified candidates to fill the following positions

1. Driller

Job Requirement:

• Applicants must possess at least 5 years of drilling experience including 2 years on a semi-submersible or drillship and 1 year as a Driller on a floating drilling unit.
• Knowledge of all technical calculations required for all safe operations of the drilling unit
• Valid OSP is important. Ringing and Slinging Certificate will be an added advantage.
• Advanced computer skills
• Successful candidates must be able to work in a team environment and possess good communication skills.
• Perform under pressure, initiative and proactive
• Interpersonal skill

Required Training:

• Well Control and blowout prevention
• Basic Firefighting
• Survival at sea (BOSIET/HUET)
• Basic First aid training
• Health/Fitness for work certificate

2. Assistant Driller

Job Requirement:

• Applicants must possess at least 3 years of drilling experience including 1 year on a semisubmersible or drillship as an Assistance Driller or Derrickman.
• The candidate for this position must be qualified to be promoted to Driller.
• Valid OSP is important. Ringing and Slinging Certificate will be an added advantage.
• Successful candidates must be able to work in a team environment, proficient in the use of computer and possess good communication skills.

Required Training:

• Well Control and blowout prevention
• Basic Fire fighting
• First aid training
• Survival at sea
• Health/Fitness for work Certificate

3. Derrickman

Job Requirement:

• Applicants must possess minimum of OND certificate with at least 1-year experience as a Derrick hand or Driller Trainee.
• Valid OSP is important. Ringing and Slinging Certificate will be an added advantage.
• Successful candidates must be able to work in a team environment, proficient in the use of computer and possess good communication skills.

Required Training:

• Survival at Sea
• Basic Firefighting
• Basic First Aid training
• Health/Fitness for work.

4. Roughneck

Job Requirement:

• Applicants must possess at least 3 years’ experience in an offshore environment including floorman for 1 year.
• Knowledge of the aspects of the Drilling Unit equipment, maintenance inventory control and drilling operations.
• Valid OSP is important. Ringing and Slinging Certificate will be an added advantage.
• Successful candidates must be able to work in a team environment, proficient in the use of computer and possess good communication skills.

Required Training:

         Survival at Sea

         Basic Firefighting

         Basic First Aid training

         Health/Fitness for work Certificate

 

5. Offshore Mechanic

Job Requirement:

         Applicants must hold a degree in Mechanical engineering with at least 5 years’ mechanical experience on offshore drilling Rigs.

         Valid OSP is important. Ringing and Slinging Certificate will be an added advantage.

         Successful candidates must be able to work in a team environment, proficient in the use of computer and possess good communication skills.

Required Training:

         Survival at Sea

         Basic Firefighting

         Basic First Aid training

         Health Fitness for Work Certificate

6. Offshore Electrician

Job Requirement:

         Applicants must hold a degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum of 5 years electrical or electronic controls experience in a drilling machinery and equipment.

         Valid OSP is important. Ringing and Slinging Certificate will be an added advantage.

         Successful candidates must be able to work in a team environment, and possess good communication skills.

         Advanced computer skills

Required Training:

         Survival at Sea

         Basic Fire fighting

         Basic First Aid training

         Health/Fitness

7. Motor Man

Job Requirement:

         Applicants must possess minimum of 3 years oilfield experience with at least 2 years’ experience as a motorman.

         Valid OSP is important. Ringing and Slinging Certificate will be an added advantage.

         Successful candidates must be able to work in a team environment, proficient in the use of computer and possess good communication skills.

Required Training:

         Survival at Sea

         Basic Fire fighting

         Basic First Aid training

         Health/Fitness for work Certificate.

8. Welder

Job Requirement:

         Applicants must possess at least 5 years’ offshore experience including 3 years welding experience on drilling rig.

         Candidate must possess restricted pipe welding Certifications and Test Positions such as 2G, 5G and 6G positions.

         Valid OSP is important. Ringing and Slinging Certificate will be an added advantage.

         Successful candidates must be able to work in a team environment, proficient in the use of computer and possess good communication skills.

Required Training:

         Survival at Sea

         Basic Fire fighting

         Basic First Aid training

         Health/Fitness for work certificate

9. Crane Operator

Job Requirement:

         A crane operator must have at least four years of drilling experience including one year as a crane operator on a semi-submersible or drillship.

         Must hold valid Crane Operator Certificate from Industry recognized organization.

         Valid OSP is important. Ringing and Slinging Certificate will be an added advantage.

         Successful candidates must be able to work in a team environment, proficient in the use of computer and possess good communication skills.

Required Training:

         Survival at Sea

         Basic & Advance Fire fighting

         Basic First Aid training

         Health/Fitness for work Certificate

         Crane Operator Certificate.

10. Roustabout

Job Requirement:

         Applicants must have completed at least Ordinary National Diploma (OND).

         Previous experience in areas such as shipbuilding, construction or engineering will be an added advantage.

         Valid OSP is important. Ringing and Slinging Certificate will be an added advantage.

         Successful candidates must be able to work in a team environment, proficient in the use of computer and possess good communication skills.

Required Training:

         Must have completed at least Ordinary National Diploma (OND).

         Previous experience in areas such as shipbuilding, construction or engineering will be an added.

11. Materials Man

Job Requirement:

         Applicants must possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar position.

         Education as forwarder/storekeeper/ warehouse administrator.

         Must possess general working knowledge of technology and equipment used in the offshore drilling industry.

         Valid OSP is very important. Ringing and Slinging Certificate will be an added advantage.

         Successful candidates must be able to work in a team environment

         Proficient in the use of computer and possess good communication skills.

Required Training:

         Survival at Sea

         Basic Fire fighting

         Basic First Aid training

         Health/Fitness for work Certificate.

12. Medical Doctor

Job Requirement:

         A qualified doctor certified in Emergency care working as a rig doctor with at least 5 years experience.

         Valid OSP is important. Ringing and Slinging Certificate will be an added advantage.

         Advanced technical skills

         Successful candidates must be able to work in a team environment and possess good communication skills.

Required Training:

         Survival at Sea

         Basic Fire fighting

         Basic First Aid training

         Health/Fitness for work Certificate

13. Radio Operator:

Job Requirement:

         Applicants must hold Radio License or GMDSS General Operator Certificate

         3 years oilfield experience with at least 2 years in a similar position.
